Road Tripping

Itching to get on a long open road with key essential components: my lover, dog, good friends, CD’s, jacquard blankets, and gear. But first, I need to get my hands on some old school wheels…

Spotlight: Local’s Corner SF

This corner-store-converted locavore brasserie is quite a standout of its kind, nestled in the Mission (our targeted future neighborhood). The creative menu serves daily catch and available crop, yielding flavor unlike anything else ever imagined from their teeny hoodless kitchen. Every plate is a work of art, not to mention, the interior design is clean and cool.

After party (post Studio 54)

I had so much fun working with Catherine Kwong on the design and development of our Rock n Roll Hideaway for the SF Decorator Showcase. It was thrilling to bring Mick and Bianca back to life and design the Living Room of this 115 year old Edwardian mansion around their aura. The main feature is the painted floor, expertly finished by the talented Stancil Studios- inspired by the poetic graffiti-like drawing/paintings of the late great American artist Cy Twombly. The result? A meeting of old and new, refinement and edge, classy and sexy. All photos by Bess Friday.
